Micheal Drake
Our Lead Pastor
Mike has been our lead Pastor since May of 2012. Educated at Lincoln Christian College and Seminary (now Lincoln Christian University), Mike has pastored churches in Wisconsin, Indiana and Illinois. He came to us after having retired for 10 years following a 20 year ministry in Elkhart, Illinois. Mike's hobbies include, construction, golf, motorcycling, and barbershop singing. Mike is currently a member of the Coles County Barbershop Chorus. For twelve years, Mike was the director of the Land of Lincoln Chorus (barbershop chorus in Springfield) and for eleven years he sang the Lead in True Blue (a barbershop quartet). Mike brings to our pulpit a relaxed, yet passionate, style based on the application of the text of the Bible to our lives in the 21st Century. Mike and his wife Ruth Ann share five sons, a daughter, 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Doris Elmore
Our Administrative Assistant and all around "Girl Friday!"
Doris Elmore has been our Administrative Assistant since November of 1998. She brings to our office and our fellowship a consistency of organization that amazes us all! Doris not only keeps our office running efficiently, but often serves as a sort of "Community Coordinator" for the village of Atwood itself. She serves our congregation faithfully, and additionally serves the Atwood community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and the Atwood Economic Development Corporation. She is also a valued member of the Record Herald News, serving as a news reporter and staff writer. Doris is married to Roy, and they share a son and three grandchildren.
Marcia Eastin
Head Custodian
Marcia Eastin serves as our Head Custodian. She is responsible for the general upkeep of our building. Along with Sherry Dorjahn, Marsha keeps our building in good order for the variety of activities that our facility hosts. Marsha is married to Lyle and they share two sons, two daughters, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons..
